update 5 p.m.

Well as of 6 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday, May 8) all vehicular traffic on the unpaved Mississippi River levee system will be shut down.
As of 5 p.m. today, The Mississippi River at Natchez sits at 54.73'. Crest is still 64' on May 22.
There is an estimated 6' of water now crossing over Silver Street in Natchez.

This is the only update I have so far. My husband and I will be venturing out tomorrow after Mother's Day lunch and taking a few pictures, especially of the flooding on Silver Street. So be sure to check back tomorrow!

I was able to find a few photos to post:
This photo is showing you the Vidalia Riverwalk and how close the water is getting.
This is a photo of the instant levee they built around the Riverpark Medical Center on the Vidalia Riverfront.
